“we imagine our love as being light waves of sound or light, or like a pure white cloud that forms slowly and gradually spreads out to envelope the whole world.”
Energy is all around us, in everything and everyone...it permeates life. We each have the power to heal ourselves, through our words and actions as well as our choices and belief systems.
Working with energy—and the quiet power within it—has long been a thread in my life. My formal studies began over 25 years ago, during a time marked by a life-altering diagnosis of breast cancer. That experience invited me inward, asking me to listen more deeply and to seek what might support my own healing. I sensed there was something more—an untapped potential—and that awareness became the spark for a lifelong path of learning, exploration, and, eventually, sharing.
In those early years, I was drawn to a range of healing modalities and supportive practices, including acupuncture, Qi Gong, yoga, and Reiki. Each offered a different doorway into balance, resilience, and well-being.
Years later, I was met with another profound turning point: the sudden and unexpected loss of my husband—my partner and closest friend. In the wake of that loss, I found myself on unfamiliar ground, facing the question, Who am I now? That inquiry led me to deepen my commitment to these practices, especially my meditation practice, which became a steady and intentional refuge.
This path brought me to complete a two-year training with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield through the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP). I’ve also completed an additional six-month certification in Mindfulness, Meditation, and Movement (MMTT) with Addie DeHilster, and I am currently immersed in a four-year exploration of biodynamic craniosacral work and the practice of stillness.
I feel ready to share what has unfolded for me—insights, practices, and ways of being—while remaining open to the wisdom that emerges in each person I sit with.
These healing arts as well as a regular practice of healthy eating, Yoga, meditation and exercise are an essential part of my day-to-day.
I am an educator (30+ years) with expertise in teaching children with learning and reading challenges.
